One sunny day, our whale spotter directed ‘Moby Dick’ far out to where he believed he had spotted a strange-looking whale.

 

When we got closer, we first could not believe our eyes: the lookout had spotted a submarine.

 

We escorted it all the way into the harbour of Ponta Delgada.
